Maleficent, Opening Night

My friends and I got tickets to see Maleficent on opening night at Disney's El Capitan Theater the other evening. Which is always a treat because the venue is just magical!
The evening, they had items on display from the movie; props, sets, costumes.
The infamous spinning wheel.
Maleficent's robe, worn by Angelina Jolie.

Aroura's childhood toys.

Of course, I had to gratuitously pose with costumes, duh ;3
Aroura's dress is just so beautiful to me!
Crib, shoes, dress and other set pieces.
 The map of the kingdoms.

Aroura's drop dead GORGEOUS bed and pieces from the cottage. Seriously, that bed was the most beautiful bed I've ever seen in my life, I want it so bad! [Honestly, I kind of want to see if I could made a copy of it for myself.]

 King Stephen's iron armour.
'Gelatin' castle, from a feast scene.
For the movie, we had VIP access, so reserved seats complimentary snack service and such. We all got promotional swag with it too.
Before the show was an amazing magic show, which freaked me out because I don't understand how it all works ahha! But, it was fun!
Also, we won one of the raffles they held, we got the second best prize which was like $250USD worth of Ghiradelli chocolate. The whole thing was well over 5lbs of chocolate..
We ended up splitting it up between us, there's way too much chocolate haha!
Chocolate overload!

Maleficent was an seriously great film! I can't find the words to explain how just unexpectedly impressive it is cinematically and plot wise. As my friend put it, it might just be the best Disney live film made so far.
I agree whole heartedly. I feel so odd saying it might be one of my favourite films I've ever seen hand's down. For comparison, I don't think I have an actual favourite movie [that's not a children's movie at least].
I will be seeing it another time, with my mum who is a huge Angelina Jolie fan, I hope she enjoys it, she notoriously hates anything Disney. I think, actually, I know this film will change her mind!!

Now that Maleficent is out, will you be seeing it? Did you like it?

Sparkling Mermaid Nail Set

Finally got my nails done for summer~
This time it was inspired by my signature scent, Lolita Lempicka's L, perfume.
Since this season, mermaid seems to be a big trend, it was the perfect time to have a beautiful undersea treasure themed nail.

For the first time in a long while, I've decided to forgo my naturally long nails and opt for a full set of nail extensions. I've gotten tired of  injuring myself from broken nails, haha. I actually decided to not do any nail polish, and what you are seeing is the plain acrylic topping/extension itself, gel lacquered, which looks surprisingly natural and beautiful.
It matches the pebble shaped bottle perfectly, and suits the lovely summer atmosphere.
If anyone's curious on my fave perfume's scent, it's something like; oranges, vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood.
I've been told many a time I smell like salty cupcakes or a sugar cookie at the beach.
Like always, I have my nails done at Atlas Studio [link to their online page].
My current set was done by the lovely Maiko.
I'm always satisfied with my experience at Atlas, everyone is so friendly and I always feel so at ease in their care.

Spring casual~Trinity Styles, Floral Oversize Pullover [Sponsored] Review

Back again with another review, this time from Trinity Styles, one of my favourite online retailers [and my friend, cause now half her closet is from there hahaha.] Trinity Styles is a store that revamps every season selling the latest trends and styles. This season there is a lot of Korean Fashion and street snap influence, which has a lot of lace inserts, oversized blouses, simple shapes and eye catching statement pieces.

This month, Trinity Styles sent me the Floral Oversized Pullover, [available here]
If anyone knows me, I am just crazy about loose sweaters as they can be dressed up or dressed down and worn in any type of weather. The day I shot my pictures it was quite hot, but I was relatively comfortable in the top. The fabric is best compared to a very worn in sweater, it's not too soft as to retain some of it's shape but it's very comfy. The top is a very thin knit, so it's easily layerable as to not produce too much bulk.

The sweater is quite oversized, I am a size 6/8 US and though I am not swamped in it, which I believe is the target look, it is quite baggy on me in just the right way. The sweater runs as one size and I believe it truly is a perfect 'one size' top as it would look good on any frame.

On the sweater, the bottom and sleeves are rough cut edges, which like most tee shirts or sweaters, is no problem as it doesn't fray so it creates a very casual appearance. The sleeves are 3/4 sleeves that are baggy and can be worn as such, though, I prefer to roll them up especially since the weather is quite warm.

It is hard to tell from afar, but the sweater is a lovely heathered grey, which I just adore! Also the flower print is printed on in a very neutral colour palette, which reminds me of a vintage photographs.

The top has slits on both sides which I assume is not just for design but so the sweater doesn't hug the body in a unflattering way.

If I had other options besides my mini princess skirts, think the perfect pairing of this top would be:

Denim shorts, socks, white tennis shoes.
or
Beanie, cigarette jeans, ballet flats or a dark boot.
or
Over a mini dress with wedges.

Though, I do love my frilly little skirts ;3

Trinity Styles is a shop I trust and 100% put my name behind to have quality items, great shipping and amazing customer service.
